INRS
We play an active role in Québec's economic, social, and cultural development.
The Australian Academy of Science recently presented Federico Rosei of the Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications Research Centre with the 2016 Selby Fellowship. In accepting the fellowship, Professor Rosei joined an international list of eminent researchers active in every field of science. This is the first time an INRS researcher has been awarded this prestigious fellowship. He is also the first Italian, and one of the rare Canadians (the third), to receive such an honour.

Awarded by the Australian Academy of Science to distinguished international scientists, this fellowship allows Professor Rosei, who currently holds the UNESCO Chair in Materials and Technologies for Energy Conservation Saving and Storage (MATECSS), to visit Australian many research institutions and give public lectures on current scientific issues, particularly the challenge of sustainable energy.
