The Networks and Cyber Physical Systems Lab (NECPHY-Lab) conducts advanced research, training, and technology transfer to industry in wireless communications technologies and cyber physical systems (CPS) applications in the domains of smart grids, e-health, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

The lab focuses on:
- radio resource management
- cognitive and frequency-agile radio
- energy-efficient communications
- heterogeneous and small cell networks and wireless sensor technologies, with applications in communication systems
- smart grids
- smart health
- smart transportation systems
The NECPHY-Lab is an active player in 5G and beyond wireless technologies, smart grid technologies and applications, and service solutions in these fields.
The NECPHY-Lab has a wide range of signal generation and measurement equipment as well as cognitive radio, wireless sensors, and smart grid test benches used for validation and demonstration of real-world technologies and application development.
- Real-time spectrum analyzer
- Oscilloscope
- Arbitrary waveform generator
- Signal generator
- Logic analyzer
- Portable spectrum analyzer
