To this end, the research teams at the INRS are focusing their efforts on wireless communications, optical and hybrid communications, and sensory communications. Through their research, they contribute to the development of spoken, image, and telepresence communication technologies that enhance quality of life by developing a groundbreaking approach to optical pulse shaping, optimizing proximity networks based on both fiber optic and wireless technology, helping build tomorrow\u2019s smart electrical grid for the energy, communications, and transportation industries, ans studying ways to control the quality of perception in various technological
