{"id":28864,"date":"2020-10-16T16:04:05","date_gmt":"2020-10-16T20:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/?post_type=scholarship&#038;p=28864"},"modified":"2021-03-31T14:06:57","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T18:06:57","slug":"assistance-program-in-support-to-the-quarantine","status":"publish","type":"scholarship","link":"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/en\/studies\/scholarships-and-financial-aid\/find-a-scholarship\/repertoire-des-bourses-d-etudes\/flat-rate-living-allowance-for-the-quarantine\/","title":{"rendered":"Flat-rate living allowance for the quarantine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Objective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is designed to support students and postdoctoral fellows who must comply with mandatory quarantine requirements upon arrival in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Description of the available assistance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The allowance consists of a flat-rate amount of $1,500 to each recipient to help cover additional expenses during the mandatory quarantine period, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the use of more secure domestic transportation upon arrival;<\/li><li>the rental of a hotel or quarantine facility;<\/li><li>the cost of delivery of any basic necessities;<\/li><li>the cost of food if access to a suitable kitchen is not possible.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Eligibility requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be registered full-time in a master&#8217;s or doctoral program at INRS, or complete a postdoctoral fellowship at INRS.<\/li><li>Have arrived in Canada after May 1, 2020 and have been required to place himself\/herself in quarantine.<\/li><li>Not have left Canada since the introduction of the mandatory quarantine measures on March 25, 2020, unless required by immigration or because his\/her program of study at INRS required it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Obtaining and paying the allowance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible candidates must request the allowance to the Studies and Student Life Service (Service des \u00e9tudes et de la vie \u00e9tudiante) by writing to <a href=\"mailto:sve@dev.inrs.ca\"><strong>sve@dev.inrs.ca<\/strong><\/a>.
