Steacie Memorial Fellowship<\/a>, one of the most prestigious honours awarded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An internationally renowned researcher, Professor Rosei has made a name for himself through his pioneering work on advanced materials, which has enormous technological potential in electronics, photonics, life sciences and energy conversion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/NEWS_INRS-professor-Federico-Rosei-awarded-prestigious-Steacie-Fellowship_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"746\" height=\"448\"\/><figcaption>Professor Federico Rosei with&nbsp;the Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston<br><em>Photo \u00a9Vincent Carbonneau, Rideau Hall<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cINRS is very proud to employ a researcher of Federico Rosei\u2019s calibre. In addition to advancing knowledge, he actively trains highly qualified personnel and contributes to furthering our top-notch expertise in priority sectors for society, making INRS a national and international leader in university research,\u201d said&nbsp;Yves B\u00e9gin, vice-president of research and academic affairs at INRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Steacie Fellowship, which is granted for a two-year period and comes with a $250,000 research grant and $180,000 salary support, will allow&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/research\/professors\/federico-rosei\/\">Professor Rosei<\/a>&nbsp;to explore new avenues and implement effective new strategies in the design, development, and characterization of multifunctional materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cReceiving the highly-coveted E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowshipis a true honour that inspires me to redouble my efforts to gain a greater understanding of the multiple properties of nanomaterials in order to contribute to scientific and technological innovation.\u201d <\/p><cite>Professor Rosei<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E.W.R Steacie Memorial Fellowships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Every year NSERC awards up to six E.W.R.
