The society will welcome him as a&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/spie.org\/x32.xml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fellow&nbsp;<\/a>in 2015, the International Year of Light.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/NEWS_Professor-Federico-Rosei-has-been-elected-Fellow-of-SPIE_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"798\" height=\"480\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Rosei is one of 58 researchers and one of two Canadians to be elected Fellows in 2015. He is thus the only Quebec researcher to receive this honour from SPIE. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations to Professor Rosei on yet another instance of international recognition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About SPIE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SPIE is an international society founded in 1955 and has some 180,000 members from more than 170 countries. Its mission is to promote an interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light. To do this, the society contributes to the advancement of emerging technologies by focusing on information exchange, continuing education, publications, and career development.
