In conferring this award, the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.electrochem.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electrochemical Society&nbsp;<\/a>acknowledges his remarkable contribution to solid state science and technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/NEWS_Three-INRSprofessors-selected-as-senior-members-of-the-Optical-Society_rosei.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"318\" height=\"249\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Rosei will deliver an award lecture on electronic and photonic devices at one of the two Electrochemical Society Canada Section meetings. He is the second INRS professor to receive this prestigious award. Professor&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.electrochem.org\/awards\/section\/recipients\/cana_miller_recipients.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jacques E. Desnoyers<\/a>, then associated with INRS-\u00c9nergie, received the second-ever Lash Miller Award in 1971. After 44 years, Professor Rosei brought the award back to INRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presented every two years by the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.electrochem.org\/ecs\/sections\/cana\/cana.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electrochemical Society Canada Section<\/a>, this award was created in 1969 to honour the memory of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.encyclopedia.com\/doc\/1G2-2830902970.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">William Lash Miller<\/a>, an eminent Canadian chemist.
