Professor Patrizio Antici of Centre \u00c9nergie Mat\u00e9riaux T\u00e9l\u00e9communications at INRS<\/a> has once again garnered international recognition for his work, having just been elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP)<\/a> for his outstanding scientific achievements in physics, particularly in the field of laser-generated particle sources. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le professeur Patrizio Antici<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Professor Antici<\/a> develops new types of particle accelerators<\/a> using intense lasers for applications in the life sciences, medicine, basic physics, astrophysics, material sciences, and inertial confinement fusion. He is a member of numerous international groups of experts, including Extreme Light Infrastructure<\/a>, which is setting up laser-accelerated particle beams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Antici was also elected a Fellow<\/a> of the European Physics Society<\/a> earlier this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
