In conferring this prestigious title, the Harbin Institute of Technology has shown its interest in collaborating with Professor Rosei and, by extension, with a number of his colleagues at the research centre, especially in advanced materials and renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/NEWS_Another-honour-from-China-for-INRS-Professor-Federico-Rosei_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"445\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This acknowledgement is another testament to Professor Rosei\u2019s enviable reputation around the world, and particularly in China. The holder of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/research\/research-chairs-groups-and-networks\/find-research-chair-group-or-network\/unesco-chair-in-materials-and-technologies-for-energy-conversion-saving-and-storage\/\">UNESCO Chair in Materials and Technologies for Energy Conversion, Saving and Storage (MATECSS)<\/a>&nbsp;was named an honorary fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society. What\u2019s more, the Chinese government gave Professor Rosei the prestigious&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.emt.dev.inrs.ca\/actualites\/le-professeur-federico-rosei-re%C3%A7oit-le-chang-jiang-scholars-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chang-Jiang Scholars Award<\/a>&nbsp;presented to internationally renowned scientists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/NEWS_Another-honour-from-China-for-INRS-Professor-Federico-Rosei_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"478\" height=\"346\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the Harbin Institute of Technology<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 1920, the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is one of China\u2019s top universities and one of the finest engineering institutions in the world. HIT conducts cutting-edge research in space science and defence technologies. It is known for its astronautics research programs, which are unrivalled in China and make HIT one of the few universities in the world to have designed, built, and launched its own satellites. Furthermore, the institute\u2019s researchers have made significant contributions to the success of the Shenzhou&nbsp;series and Kuaizhou series spacecraft.
