INRS strives to make sure that everyone in its community feels respected and valued by promoting an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment for all.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

INRS’s understands that it\u2019s important to embrace diversity in all its forms\u2014race, colour, place of origin, religion, immigration or Indigenous status, ethnicity, ability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and age\u2014within its community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also aware that these groups are more likely to be discriminated against in the recruitment, selection, and appointment process for Canada Research Chairs and other research activities within the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also committed to gender equity and meets its legal obligations in that regard. It sets clear objectives to promote equity for everyone (including women, Indigenous persons, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities) based on the Employment Equity Act<\/em>, not only in recruitment, but also in appointments to Canada Research Chairs and in activities that are closely related to INRS\u2019s mission<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
