However, travel restrictions apply. <strong>They are summarized in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/inrs\/community-services\/emergency-procedures\/covid-19\/welcoming-foreign-students-in-the-context-of-covid-19\/information-guide-for-welcoming-international-students-and-trainees-during-the-covid-19-pandemic\/\">Information Guide<\/a> web page.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See also the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/immigration-refugees-citizenship\/services\/coronavirus-covid19\/students.html#exemptions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Travel exemptions and restrictions for international students<\/a> section on the IRCC website.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Steps to follow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The INRS has implemented a comprehensive plan to accompany you in preparing for your arrival in accordance with the requirements of Quebec and Canada\u2019s public health authorities. Please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">1. <\/span><strong>Consult the Information Guide<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before planning any travel, INRS invites you to consult the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/inrs\/community-services\/emergency-procedures\/covid-19\/welcoming-foreign-students-in-the-context-of-covid-19\/information-guide-for-welcoming-international-students-and-trainees-during-the-covid-19-pandemic\/\">Information guide<\/a> web page which allows you to learn about the rules in effect and the elements to be taken into account before you decide to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">2. <\/span><strong><strong>Decide with your supervisor<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If your travel is possible, you must notify the Studies and Student Life Service (Service des \u00e9tudes et de la vie \u00e9tudiante) of the decision by writing to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:sve@dev.inrs.ca\">sve@dev.inrs.ca<\/a>.<\/li><li>Your supervisor will then designate, with a copy to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:registrariat@dev.inrs.ca\"><\/a><a href=\"mailto:sve@dev.inrs.ca\">sve@dev.inrs.ca<\/a>, a person employed by INRS who will act as a&nbsp;<strong>support person<\/strong>&nbsp;to assist you in the preparations.<\/li><li>You must quickly prepare your quarantine plan with the help of the support person assigned to you.<\/li><li>Finally, you must send the quarantine plan to <a href=\"mailto:sve@dev.inrs.ca\">sve@dev.inrs.ca<\/a> as soon as possible.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\"> 3. <\/span>Plan your arrival and your quarantine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Aide-memoire-VenirAuQC_Checklist-ComingToQC_22juil2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">checklist<\/a> (PDF) is available to help you prepare for the various aspects related to your quarantine and your arrival.<\/li><li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/en\/studies\/scholarships-and-financial-aid\/find-a-scholarship\/repertoire-des-bourses-d-etudes\/flat-rate-living-allowance-for-the-quarantine\/\">Flat-rate living allowance for the quarantine<\/a> has been established to provide you with financial support.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">4. <\/span><strong>Prepare your arrival at INRS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a new graduate student at INRS, you will be contacted by a mentor once you have submitted your study permit approval letter to Student Life Services. The mentor&#8217;s role is to help you become familiar with your new environment.  Each research centre provides you with a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/studies\/registrars-office\/guides-to-success-in-higher-education\" class=\"broken_link\">Welcome Guide<\/a>&nbsp;to help you start and continue your formation at INRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/iconfinder_syringe_vaccine_medicine_injection_antibiotic_6217286-1.png\" alt=\"Vaccination icon vaccin\" class=\"wp-image-59452\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/iconfinder_syringe_vaccine_medicine_injection_antibiotic_6217286-1.png 512w, https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/iconfinder_syringe_vaccine_medicine_injection_antibiotic_6217286-1-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/iconfinder_syringe_vaccine_medicine_injection_antibiotic_6217286-1-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 128px) 100vw, 128px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"passport\"><br>Vaccination passport<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Take note of the information on vaccination and the vaccination passport introduced by the Government of Quebec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Use of the vaccination passport<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>As of September 1, 2021, the Quebec government has introduced a vaccination passport that is required to access <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/covid-19-vaccination-passport\/places-and-activities-requiring-covid-19-vaccination-passport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">certain non-essential places or services<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Sports and physical activities<\/li><li>Outdoor events and festivals<\/li><li>Performance venues, cinemas, sports venues<\/li><li>Bars and restaurants<\/li><li>Arcades, theme parks, amusement parks and centres, recreation centres, and water parks<\/li><li>Other events, such as conventions and conferences<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In Quebec universities, the vaccination passport is only used for extracurricular activities. However, it will not be required for the general assembly of your <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/studies\/student-life-services\/student-associations\/\">student association<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>You wish to participate in extracurricular activities? <\/strong>Make sure you have your vaccination passport as soon as possible, if you don&#8217;t already have it.<\/li><li><strong>Want to organize an extracurricular activity?<\/strong> Inform Student Life Services (<a href=\"mailto:sve@dev.inrs.ca\">sve@dev.inrs.ca<\/a>) of your activity and follow the rules that will be recommended.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information on how the vaccine passport works, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/covid-19-vaccination-passport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quebec government website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Vaccination campaign<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quebec government offers the vaccine free of charge to all the residents from the province of Quebec, <strong>including foreign students<\/strong> and other temporary residents. If you have not yet been vaccinated, you can make an appointment on <a href=\"https:\/\/portal3.clicsante.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Clic Sant\u00e9<\/a>. People who have been partially vaccinated outside of Quebec <a href=\"#dose\">can have their first dose registered<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any question about the effectiveness and security of the vaccines, do not hesitate to consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/public-health\/services\/diseases\/coronavirus-disease-covid-19\/vaccines\/effectiveness-benefits-vaccination.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">Government of Canada website<\/a> or the COVID-19 section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencepresse.qc.ca\/detecteur-rumeurs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rumour Detector website<\/a> (in French only), a joint initiative of the Agence Science-Presse and the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dose\"><br>Registering a vaccine received outside of Quebec<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quebec government recognizes vaccines received outside of Quebec. This recognition is necessary in order to obtain the vaccination passport and to receive another dose to complete your vaccination status. href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec.ca\/en\/health\/health-issues\/a-z\/2019-coronavirus\/progress-of-the-covid-19-vaccination\/vaccinated-for-covid-19-outside-quebec-using-vaccination-registry\"
