Are the roads snowy and slippery? Are you wondering whether you need to come in to your class, lab, or office? If conditions warrant, INRS may decide to suspend its activities for safety reasons, and close one or all of its buildings.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The decision to temporarily suspend activities is based on:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Weather reports and forecasts issued by <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.gc.ca\/forecast\/canada\/index_e.html?id=QC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Environment Canada<\/a><\/li><li>Road conditions as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quebec511.info\/en\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quebec\u2019s Minist\u00e8re des Transports<\/a><\/li><li>The ability of local public transit to continue operating<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Temporary suspension of activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If activities are suspended temporarily due to snow, freezing rain, or any other event, INRS will contact the university community as follows:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">Cancellation of morning activities:<\/span><\/strong> Before 7 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">Cancellation of afternoon activities:<\/span> <\/strong>Before 11 a.m.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closure may apply to one or more buildings at various INRS locations in Quebec. INRS will always clearly indicate where closures are taking place. When necessary, INRS issues updates on the closures of its buildings during the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there are no alerts, you can assume that buildings are open and activities are taking place as scheduled.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Means of communication<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>INRS will use a variety of communication methods:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>INRS homepage<\/li><li>Social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)<\/li><li>Email<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Absences and late arrivals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For information about excused absences and late arrivals, see the Directive on the Temporary Suspension of INRS Activities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is there a storm?
