Each student has three minutes to give a clear, concise, and convincing summary on their research project.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color:#132080\" class=\"tadv-color\">Institution-wide contest<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile is-image-fill\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\" style=\"background-image:url(https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/web-mt180-micro.jpg);background-position:50% 50%\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"272\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/web-mt180-micro.jpg\" alt=\"Photo d'un micro avec fond floutt\u00e9\" class=\"wp-image-9580 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/web-mt180-micro.jpg 700w, https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/web-mt180-micro-300x117.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.723), 20px);px\"><strong>The institutional final to selected the INRS representative for the <a href=\"https:\/\/cags.ca\/3mt-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">national competition<\/a> was held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on the Zoom video conference platform. Results were announced the same day at 1:00 p.m.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color:#801336\" class=\"tadv-color\">Finalist<\/span> for 3MT 2021<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vincenzo Corelli<\/strong>, a master&#8217;s student in water sciences supervised by Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/research\/professors\/isabelle-lavoie\/\">Isabelle Lavoie<\/a> won a $500 scholarship for his presentation. The Eastern Regional Final will be held on June 17, 2021. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The National 3MT Competition has been cancelled for 2021 and replaced with a non-competitive showcase of 3MT videos produced across Canada.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants must distil the complexities of their research project into an interesting and accessible summary, using a single static slide and no accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Students will have 180 seconds to present their master\u2019s or doctoral research subject.<\/li><li>No accessories other than notes are allowed: no laser pointers, no clothing accessories used specifically for the presentation, etc.<\/li><li>Students are allowed a visual aid, which is strongly recommended but not required.<\/li><li>Students are allowed to use one single, non-animated PowerPoint slide to illustrate their presentation.
