{"id":17760,"date":"2020-08-13T16:28:54","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T16:28:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/mesures-durgence\/covid-19\/modalites-des-etudes\/"},"modified":"2021-09-23T14:25:29","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T18:25:29","slug":"modalites-des-etudes","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/inrs\/community-services\/emergency-procedures\/covid-19\/conditions-on-maintaining-education-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Conditions on Maintaining Education Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>INRS is ready to welcome its student community in the greatest respect of the sanitary measures and rules issued by the Direction de la sant\u00e9 publique and by the government of Quebec.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover has-background-dim has-background-gradient\" style=\"background:linear-gradient(135deg,rgb(242,242,242) 0%,rgb(229,229,229) 100%)\"><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-darker-color has-text-color has-small-font-size\"><strong>Update :<\/strong> <strong>August 31, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-darker-color has-text-color\">FALL TERM 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left is-style-fjalla has-darker-color has-text-color\" style=\"font-size:clamp(20px, 1.25rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 1.446), 32px);px\"><strong>Updated guidelines for a safe in-person return to school<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-darker-color has-text-color\"><strong>Following the recent directives issued by the Government of Quebec on the epidemiological situation, please find below the latest updates with regard to our activities to ensure a safe return to school.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-darker-color has-text-color wp-block-list\"><li>For all members of the INRS community, the wearing of a procedure mask remains mandatory at all times, including in classrooms, laboratories and libraries. It may be removed only to eating or drinking in designated areas. A person alone, in a closed room, may also remove their mask.<\/li><li>Procedural masks will continue to be provided free of charge to all community members at all campus entrances.<\/li><li>A physical distance of one meter shall be maintained for all community members.<\/li><li>In classrooms, a distance of less than a meter will be allowed for members of the student community, who must maintain their procedural masks. Faculty members who remove their masks to give their classes will be required to maintain a distance of two meters in compliance with the standards issued by the CNESST.<\/li><li>In laboratories, when the one-meter distance cannot be maintained, students and staff will have to add an additional personal protection to the procedural mask, namely a face shield.<\/li><li>As of September 1<sup>st<\/sup>, the vaccination passport will apply to certain activities deemed non-essential and at high risk of spreading COVID-19, namely sports, cultural and social activities. In addition, partners and guests will also be required to show their vaccination passport to access INRS facilities. Details regarding vaccination passport verification will be communicated at a later date.<\/li><li>For international students, please note that some additional&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/inrs\/community-services\/emergency-procedures\/covid-19\/welcoming-foreign-students-in-the-context-of-covid-19\/\">rules<\/a>&nbsp;apply. To do so, the request must be addressed to the Registrar&#8217;s office (<a href=\"mailto:registrariat@dev.inrs.ca\">registrariat@dev.inrs.ca<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Subject to the directives issued by the Quebec Public Health Department (Sant\u00e9 publique du Qu\u00e9bec), Fall Term 2021 will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>All <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/studies\/graduate-programs\/\">graduate programs<\/a> are offered in Fall term.<\/li><li>Attendance, laboratory and field research activities will be in accordance with the standards adopted by the National Public Health of Quebec.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>Fall Term<\/strong> 2021<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Classes will begin on September 7, 2021 and will be offered in attendance.<ul><li>Check the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/studies\/registars-office\/university-calendar\/\">university calendar<\/a> for dates to remember.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong><strong>A lump sum payment of $100 per term for students<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Back to school<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the Qu\u00e9bec budget was tabled on March 25, 2021, a lump sum of $100 per term was announced for full-time college and university students. The measure was aimed at acknowledging the difficulties experienced by the students during the COVID-19 health crisis during the fall 2020 term and the winter 2021 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible students are invited to complete the application form which has been&nbsp;available on the INRS\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/portail.dev.inrs.ca\/ide\/portail\/index.html;jsessionid=60207F8A039E50D11EA4051D37F4F541\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ID\u00c9 portal<\/a> since July 2, 2021<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lump sum payments has been started electronically since mid-September 2021, based on the order in which applications was received. Please note that payments will be sent out over several weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This amount will not affect other forms of student financial assistance, such as loans and bursaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also note that the eligibility criteria for the lump sum payment have been expanded.
