Scientists and members of the general public are invited to gather in bars, caf\u00e9s, and other public places to discuss science. <a href=\"https:\/\/pintofscience.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Eureka! Festival<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eureka! Festival celebrates science and technology and is aimed at people of all ages, but particularly young people and their families. The many exhibitors go all out to introduce them to and demystify the fascinating world of science. <a href=\"https:\/\/festivaleureka.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Girls and science<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Les filles et les sciences is a free event held every year in four cities\u2014Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec City, Rimouski, and Sherbrooke\u2014and is aimed at introducing science and technology professions and the required programs of study to girls in Secondary 2, 3, and 4. The event features group activities, demonstrations, and workshops led by members of the scientific community. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lesfillesetlessciences.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>24 hours of science<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The 24 heures de science event was launched by the NGO, Science pour tous. Over a period of 24 hours, more than 400 science-based activities are held across Quebec, including workshops, presentations, and laboratory visits. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.science24heures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>D\u00e9clic lectures<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Centre D\u00e9clic\u2019s mission is to provide a two-way channel for scientists to share their research knowledge with the general public. <a href=\"https:\/\/centredeclic.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Learn more<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Ma th\u00e8se en 180 secondes\/Three Minute Thesis competitions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ma th\u00e8se en 180 secondes\/Three Minute Thesis competitions provide PhD students with an opportunity to explain their research to the general public. For more information, <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.inrs.ca\/en\/studies\/science-communication\/student-competitions\/\"><strong>go to the Student competitions section<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Fernand S\u00e9guin scholarship<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fernand S\u00e9guin scholarship is awarded annually and gives students a chance to break into the media and scientific communication. A real springboard for those interested in a media career, it offers a unique opportunity to learn the profession of science journalism through internships with recognized traditional and digital
