Each year, INRS recognizes the excellence and merits of its students by awarding various prizes and distinctions during the graduation ceremony.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor General’s Gold Academic Medal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is one of the most prestigious awards available to students at Canadian universities. Through this award, the Governor General of Canada encourages academic excellence across the country and recognizes outstanding students.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

INRS Executive Chief Office’s Award of Excellence<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These awards are given annually to two graduates, one at the master’s level and one at the doctoral level, to recognize the excellence of their academic record.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

INRS Awards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Convocation is also an opportunity to present awards to <\/strong>graduates<\/strong><\/a> who have distinguished themselves during their studies by their achievements and the quality of their academic record.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Student Leadership Award<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes the exceptional leadership of a student who has distinguished himself or herself through involvement in student life, volunteer work or the organization of a scientific event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


International Outreach Award<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes a student’s contribution to the international influence of INRS through participation in international conferences or for winning an award for best presentation at an international conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Innovation Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This award recognizes a student who has contributed to the creation of a patent, the creation of a company, as well as the transfer of technology, knowledge and skills to the user community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Best Master’s Thesis Award and Best Doctoral Dissertation Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Each INRS research and training center awards an annual prize for the best master’s thesis and the best doctoral thesis. These awards are presented by the INRS Foundation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scientific Director’s Honor Roll<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This distinction is awarded by the Scientific Direction and is reserved for graduates of a program:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
