The centre works closely with industry partners and boasts unique large-scale facilities combining the ultrasmall and ultrafast technology upon which its reputation is founded.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.482), 18px);px\">Graduate students benefit from personalized supervision and actively contribute to teams ranked among the top performers in Canada for research intensity. Fundamental and applied research at the centre is focused on priority areas for Quebec\u2019s socioeconomic development, such as telecommunications, sustainable energy, advanced materials, and photonics, with researchers developing new technologies and applications for the energy, aerospace, biomedical, and transportation industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The centre has two sites: one in Varennes in the Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie region (energy and materials sciences) and another at Place Bonaventure in downtown Montreal (telecommunications).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex
